Embedded Software Engineer

FunctieomschrijvingDesign and optimize firmware for embedded systems, focusing on performance and reliability. Troubleshoot and debug firmware-related issues as needed. Integrate and test embedded systems within the larger IT framework. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication between embedded devices and other components. Create and update documentation for different phases of embedded software development, including design specifications and test plans. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in embedded software development. Proficiency in C, C++, and Python programming languages. Familiarity with embedded systems architectures and microcontroller / microprocessor platforms. Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development tools. French + English Knowledge of communication protocols (e.g., UART, SPI, I2C) and bus architectures. Exposure to embedded Linux and real-time operating systems (RTOS). Understanding of hardware design principles. Familiarity with low-level debugging tools.
