Freelance PMO Consultant

For one of our logistics customers, we are seeking a freelance Project Lead with PMO and Change Management expertise for a long-term mission to drive operational transformation. This role focuses on ensuring smooth adoption of new systems by frontline teams in a safety-critical environment.

The team oversees the implementation of technical solutions used by operational staff across European networks. The projects involve modernizing traffic management tools, optimizing workflows, and ensuring seamless transition for end-users.

You will lead initiatives to implement new systems, upgrade existing platforms, and enhance operational processes. Solutions may include cloud-based platforms, on-premise systems, or hybrid models requiring coordination between technical teams and infrastructure providers.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project documentation to support executive decision-making
• Deliver projects on time, within budget, and meeting strict quality standards for operational environments
• Manage cross-functional teams including technical developers, trainers, and operational staff
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across operational and technical divisions
• Create detailed project plans covering resources, timelines, risks, and change management activities
• Define deliverables and monitor progress against operational readiness criteria
• Oversee staffing and budget allocation for assigned initiatives
• Lead risk management and issue resolution processes specific to safety-critical changes
• Monitor project progress and report to senior leadership
• Ensure compliance with sector-specific methodologies and standards
