Test Automation Engineer

Ensure the appropriate level of quality is incorporated into our customer implementations and customisations.

Craft test artifacts including Test Strategy, Test Execution Status Reports, and Defect Reports.

Collaborate with the Product Owner to analyze, review and clarify the created user stories (business requirements)

Collaborate with the Development team to translate the business requirements into test cases and test scripts and integrate these into efficient test plans

Test enterprise level software through all phases of the test lifecycle

Assist customer(s) with UAT planning as needed

Maintain and communicate QA metrics to internal and customer partners via status / metrics reports

Interact, communicate, and follow through with development & customer teams throughout testing phase

Essential

3+ years of Test Engineer experience

Strong understanding of SQA methodologies.

Understanding of Agile / Scrum methodology and working experience in an Agile environment.

Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify, isolate and document defects

Experience in enterprise level software deployments

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Desirable

Understanding of test automation framework design models and standard methodologies

Experience working with Geospatial Information Systems or web mapping software.

Experience with utility or telecoms industries.

Education and Experience :

Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent work experience is preferred.

Minimum 3 years of comparable technology and industry experience.

Physical Requirements :

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
