Job description
EFA is looking to recruit one Human Resources manager (F / M / X) to join its Secretariat team in Brussels.As Human Resources manager, you will be responsible for :
- Recruiting new staff : recruiting, screening, interviewing, and hiring of new employees for the EFA Secretariat, in cooperation with a Selection Committee, you will be in charge of managing the whole recruiting cycle according to the needs of the organisation.
- Welcoming new staff members when hired by setting up orientations and training tasks.
- Providing guidance and information on local services and resources to ensure the employees wellbeing at work, especially for newcomers (information on the Belgian health care system options, administrative procedures for legal registration, etc.).
- Providing training options to the staff members, according to their skills and interests within the organisation.
- Acting as liaison with the payroll company to oversee payroll procedures and benefits. You will ensure that employees are compensated accordingly and supervise payroll software and processes.
- Benefits package : monitor and propose potential benefits that may be offered to the staff members according to the Belgian regulations, the employees needs and the organisation rules.
- Maintaining the working rules up to date.
- Managing employee performance reviews by scheduling, preparing, and performing two annual staff evaluations (May-June and November-December).
- Acting as liaison for employees when any type of issue or conflict arises by handling communication between employees and management, as well as the Conciliation Committee.
- Providing information to the management and employees on company policies, including job duties, equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment policies.
Required skills and Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, psychology or similar.At least 5 years of experience in a similar position in a non-profit or similar organisation.Sound knowledge of Belgian labour laws for non-profit organisations and employees.Proven experience with payroll software.Proven experience at negotiation, mediation and conflict resolution at work.Professional proficiency in English, at least. Other language skills are an asset, especially French, Dutch, Spanish Italian or German.Desirable assets :
