Desmet is a leading global provider of custom-engineered plants and equipment for the food, feed and biofuels industries. Our reliable and innovative technologies transform oilseeds, grains and tropical oils into protein feed / food, edible oils / fats, oleochemicals and biofuel.
Based in our headquarters in Diegem , your mission will be to take responsibility for supporting the after sales services (spare parts, support services, audit) for our seed preparation, solvent extraction, oil refining,fat modification, biodiesel and HVO / SAF pre-treatment business lines.
Key Accountabilities
- Prepare offers based on Customer Requests for Quotation, working with the Sales Manager responsible for the territory
- Liaise with other departments (such as Engineering) to provide technical support
- Negotiate with Suppliers to achieve competitive pricing for your offers
- Monitor, manage and execute Purchase Orders in cooperation with other departments and maintain a positive relationship with Customer, ensuring a timely delivery
- Provide regular status on quotation and project progress and analyse sales data to support company development
- Keep up your knowledge of the offered solutions, products and services and work closely with Desmet technical experts.
- You will report to the Customer Service Manager.
Qualifications
BSc degree, preferably in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial or Commercial) or at least 3 years of experience in a technical - commercial position , ideally in a technical environmentAbility to read and interpret technical drawings (3D / 2D)Good knowledge of Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365Fluent knowledge of English and French is a must. Any other language is an asset.Ability to learn quickly and bring creative solutions to problems
