About the project

For a large industrial construction project in Zwijndrecht, we are looking for an HSE Officer to support daily site activities related to welding and piping works. You will be part of the contractor’s team responsible for installation and assembly of prefabricated steel and piping components. The site is a complex and high-risk environment with a large number of workers from various subcontractors.

As HSE Officer, you will be present on the work floor to help ensure that safety rules and procedures are correctly followed. You assist with the monitoring of work permits, conduct toolbox talks, support risk awareness among workers, and perform regular site safety checks. You will report observations to the HSE Supervisor or Site Safety Manager and help implement corrective actions when needed. This is a field-oriented role requiring visibility, communication, and a practical mindset.

Your profile

• Previous experience as an HSE Officer or similar role on industrial construction sites
• Familiar with basic safety principles, PPE, work permits, and general site rules
• VCA VOL certificate is mandatory
• Knowledge of welding and piping environments is an asset
• Good communication skills in English; Dutch is a plus
• Proactive, approachable and safety-minded
