YOUR TASKS

As a full-time researcher, you will work on the preparation of a doctoral thesis project in relation to the broader topic of EU external relations and the respect for the rule of law in tghe framework of the project “EU as a global actor and the fitness of the EU constitutional legal order for geopolitical turn”.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

You hold a degree of Master in Law. The degree requirement needs to be fulfilled at the start of your appointment.

Adequate knowledge of Dutch and English is required.

Additional relevant (domestic or foreign) education in EU law would be an advantage.

You have sufficient relevant legal knowledge in light of the content of the position, as evidenced by your degree or professional experience.

You are interested in scientific and / or project-based research in the field of EU law.

You intend to write a doctoral thesis in EU law.

Publications and prior participation in conferences, etc., are recommended.

You have didactic and communicative skills.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU

We offer you a contract of definite duration for the period from 1 September – 30 September 2025

Your contract will start on 1 / 09 / 2025 at the earliest.

Your remuneration will be determined by salary scale WM1 to WM4 (if you hold a Master’s degree) or salary scale PD1 to PD4 (if you hold a doctorate). .
