Title : Legal Advisor – Construction Contracts
Location : Ghent, Belgium (Hybrid; minimum 1-2 days onsite per week)
Contract Type : Temporary assignment until end of 2025

Our client is seeking an experienced Legal Advisor to support negotiations and contract management with Construction Partners (CPs) for the rollout of a large-scale fiber optic network. This role reports to the Legal & Regulatory Manager and is key to successfully renegotiating complex agreements and ensuring smooth network deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support ongoing negotiations with 8 Construction Partners based on existing Dutch model agreements
- Analyze and advise on potential claims and contractual disputes
- Propose and negotiate contract clauses internally (Procurement, Construction, Finance, Operations) and externally with CP legal representatives
- Manage project follow-up, documentation, and reporting on progress
- Facilitate settlement agreements and transition plans for CP contracts ending or continuing
- Provide legal support on administrative network deployment aspects (permits, approvals) and litigation risk management
Your Profile
Degree in Law with a minimum of 5 years practical experience, preferably in contract lawProven experience with complex contract negotiations and draftingStrong legal knowledge in construction and regulatory mattersFluent in Dutch and English, both written and spokenExcellent team player, stress resistant, plan-driven, and result-orientedAvailable at least 4 / 5 days per week until end of 2025Preferably no other professional activities during assignmentAble to work onsite in Ghent 1-2 days per weekLooking to contribute your legal expertise to a strategic infrastructure project with a lasting impact?
