Your mission As EU Government Affairs Manager, you will lead Schneider Electric’s advocacy efforts on energy and climate policy at the EU level. You will be part of a 4-person team reporting to the VP of EU Government Affairs, under Europe Operations. Key Responsibilities Monitor and analyze EU legislative developments impacting the company. Collaborate with internal experts to develop policy positions and ensure alignment with business priorities. Draft policy briefs, consultation responses, position papers, talking points, and other advocacy materials. Support the preparation of briefings and presentations for executive leadership. Design and implement advocacy strategies targeting EU institutions and stakeholders. Build and maintain relationships with policymakers, regulators, and industry stakeholders. Represent Schneider Electric in relevant trade associations. Contribute to internal and external communications for the EU Government Affairs team. Your Profile Minimum 5 years of experience in public affairs, lobbying, or institutional relations, preferably in-house within the private sector. Strong knowledge of EU institutions and policy-making processes, with expertise in energy, climate, and industrial policy. Experience within EU institutions is a plus. Proven analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to assess complex policy issues and translate them into actionable strategies. Self-starter with a solution-oriented mindset, able to manage tight deadlines and work under pressure. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels, including C-level executives. Excellent writing skills for both internal and external audiences. Fluent in English (written and spoken); proficiency in French is a nice to have. Degree in political science, economics, international relations, law, or a related field. Let us learn about you!
