You will collaborate with colleagues in the McKinsey Transformation (MT) team, which spans across functions (design, development, delivery, management, and client development).

You will have a specific focus on McKinsey’s Wave Solution, a digital product that enables clients to successfully manage improvement programs and transformations. You will be an active member of the product and technology team, working together with other Product Owners to evolve the platform and ensure it continues to exceed client expectations.

Applying user-focused principles, you will engage with users and internal stakeholders to conduct user research and draw insights required to inform perspectives on product value, usability, or feasibility. You will identify pain points in product usage, write user stories, create wireframes, groom stories with developers, test improvement ideas, and document results.

You will use this to help define, build, and prioritize the product backlog. You will also support product documentation by translating complex technical information into end user-friendly help content, including text and supporting graphics. This is a key enabler in adoption and user experience.

You will collaborate with a team of 3 to 4 Engineers to implement your product backlog, under the guidance of MT Assets Product Leaders. You will validate functional implementation and integrate / provide feedback for the development team. You will communicate ‘the story’ effectively to train client-facing Service Teams on the newly developed functionality.

As part of these efforts you will prepare meetings or other activities, alongside product communications to a broad range of stakeholders. You’ll have the opportunity to gain new skills and build on the strengths you bring to the team.

Our Product & Engineering team, consisting of 65 colleagues and external workers, is responsible for developing and managing the firm’s digital solution for steering transformation programs at scale. Team is responsible for building Wave, a cutting-edge software-as-a-service (SaaS) product used by 100,000+ client users every month across hundreds of clients globally. We are constantly innovating as demonstrated by recent launch of our Wave’s GenAI-powered Virtual Coach.
