Ageas Group Risk is based in Brussels & is composed of risk experts with a variety of technical expertise and background. You will be a member of the Ageas Group Non-Life Risk team, which is part of the Quantitative Risk Management team. As member of the Ageas Non-life Risk team, you will contribute to the embedding of the non-life UW risk and valuation framework within the organisation and you will promote a culture of risk awareness in which each manager carries out his duty.
Your responsibilities include among others :
- Coordinate Non-Life Best Estimate and IFRS17 reserving policies across Ageas entities and develop challenger reserving models to validate results of operating companies.
- The further development, implementation, testing and documentation of the internal model for non-life underwriting risk, including entity models, reinsurance model and group aggregation model.
- Provide technical support to operating companies and participate to the automation of Internal Model runs and data flows.
- Quarterly run of group models and production of non-life group reserving and risk reports, contributing to overall communication, interpretation, and presentation of internal and external results.
- Challenge results & methodologies of operating companies and participate to harmonization of methods.
- Ascertain model change governance is being applied and participate to communication / approval of model changes with National Bank of Belgium.
- Develop & implement group policies (best estimate manual, internal model calibration & methodology…)
- Embed sustainability in underwriting policy and assess long-term impact of climate change on non-life underwriting risk.
Your profile
You have a Master’s degree in mathematics, econometrics, actuarial sciences, economics, certificate in financial risk management or alikeYou have a good understanding of Non-life insurance business : 1) reserving methods for valuation of the non-life liabilities covering claims and premium provisions, 2) Non-life risk modeling, 3) Solvency II best estimate and standard ModelYou have experience in the use, implementation or maintenance of calculation-heavy numerical modelsYou are comfortable reading and writing code in at least one programming languageYour core competences include analytical skills, autonomy, result orientation and risk consciousnessYou have an active (written and oral) knowledge of English (French or Dutch is a plus)Our offer?
