Your new role

We’re looking for a Senior DevSecOps Engineer who thrives in complex environments where security, automation, and operational continuity intersect. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in shaping and securing the software delivery lifecycle, ensuring that mission-critical systems are deployed efficiently and safely.

You’ll work alongside infrastructure and system experts to :

  • Build and refine automated deployment pipelines for both software and hardware components.
  • Support national rollouts by collaborating closely with system administrators and resolving deployment issues.
  • Introduce and integrate new tools and technologies that enhance the DevSecOps ecosystem.
  • Provide second-line support for field-deployed systems and infrastructure.
  • Identify vulnerabilities and propose architectural improvements to strengthen system security.
  • Conduct code reviews and enforce secure development practices.
  • Analyze threat reports and implement mitigation strategies in collaboration with stakeholders.

This is a hands-on role with real impact, where your contributions will directly support the reliability of essential public services.

Your profile

We’re looking for someone who combines technical depth with a proactive mindset. You’re not just comfortable with automation and security —you’re passionate about them.

What you bring :

  • Language skills : fluent in either Dutch or French, with a working understanding of the other, plus professional English.
  • Solid experience in a DevSecOps or similar engineering role.
  • Strong command of Linux environments (CentOS, Red Hat).
  • Proficiency in scripting (e.g., Shell, Python).
  • Experience with CI / CD tools like Jenkins and GitLab.
  • A good grasp of network architecture and protocols.
  • Familiarity with secure coding practices and infrastructure hardening.
  • Comfortable working in production environments with high availability requirements.

    • Bonus points for :

  • Experience with Puppet, HashiCorp Vault, or LDAP.
  • Knowledge of PHP, PostgreSQL, Apache HTTP.
  • Familiarity with VMware (ESXi, vCenter) and Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Git).
