Export Logistics Associate

European Logistics Operations Team

Purpose of the Role

As part of the European Logistics Operations team, the Export Logistics Associate will be responsible for the daily export bookings, coordination, and follow-up of Deep Sea & Air export orders from various loading sites. You will act as the key link between the Customer Experience & Intercompany Planning teams and external Logistics Service Providers (LSPs), ensuring timely delivery and strengthening overall export logistics reliability.

Key Responsibilities :

Export Operations

  • Coordinate, plan, and execute Deep Sea & Air export shipments (Air, LCL, FCL, ISO).
  • Handle bookings with LSPs from pick-up to delivery, following established procedures.
  • Monitor all export orders and maintain close communication with internal stakeholders (CSRs, planners, etc.).

Systems & Documentation

  • Create and update export bookings in SAP.
  • Manage PO cost creation, accruals, and invoice control in line with carrier rate agreements.
  • Clarify invoice discrepancies with LSPs and request credit notes if needed.
  • Prepare and issue all necessary transport documentation.
  • Problem Solving & Performance Monitoring

  • Identify and resolve transport issues proactively.
  • Monitor KPIs and handle :
  • Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs)
  • Late code entries and follow-up when loading times cannot be met
  • Complaint follow-up in cooperation with Customer Assistance
  • Support & Communication

  • Act as a backup for the Export team to ensure continuity in service.
  • Communicate and invoice customers for any additional charges.
  • Keep the Logistics Operations Manager informed of key operational matters.
  • Manage priorities and negotiate solutions with stakeholders when challenges arise.
  • Ensure adherence to company HS&E policies and promote compliance.
  • Requirements and Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics operations
  • Operational knowledge of hazardous goods transportation regulations
  • Strong proficiency in SAP and MS Office
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure with a high level of accuracy
