The Pricing Analyst directly reports to the Pricing Team Leader and belongs to the Pricing Team. He / she is responsible for analyzing market and internal pricing data in order to develop pricing models and set an optimal selling price for the products sold on our website.
To set up these pricing models, the pricing analyst gathers different information about the products :
Purchase prices from the purchasing department;
Market trends and insights from internal stakeholders;
Promotions from the marketing and purchasing departments ;
Competitors from market analyses and external pricing tools;
The Pricing Analyst also participates to the development and improvement of the company’s pricing processes.
Pricing Analyses
Participate to the price strategy by analyzing competitors’ prices, evaluating margin options and giving recommendations for different purposes such as price alignments, promotions, new products;
Implement the strategy and follow its impact on sales;
Apply all price modifications or setups on price alignments, promotions, new products;
Carry out ad hoc analyses to support the team objectives : competition prices evolution, measurement of impacts, data collection and validation for new markets;
Support ad hoc projects under the direction of the pricing team leader to ensure the overall quality of pricing;
React to prices issues by taking operational decisions and actions, based on appropriate insights;
Maintain the pricing database to ensure a good flow of sales and correct invoicing;
Follow and participate to the development of the pricing processes and tools with team members by providing insights and observation;
Collaborate with our purchasing team to define recommended purchase prices and provide guidelines and supporting information;
Collaborate and maintain contacts with internal partners (marketing, purchasing, etc.) in order to advise them in a effective way on rates and discounts;
Prepare financial reports to support analyses within the department;
Keep constantly informed of changes and developments in the field of price analysis methods, keeping knowledge up to date with new developments in order the service that is permanently based on up-to-date knowledge. .
EDUCATION : Business administration, finance, marketing or economic degree.
Years of experience : 0-2 years of professional experience in a financial environment.
Excellent analytical skills with a thorough spirit
Advanced knowledge of Excel
Knowledge of any analytical or data visualization tool is a plus;
Previous experience in marketing, pricing or business operations is a plus;
Interest in e-commerce, data and pricing;
Problem solving, results-oriented and customer centric approach;
Good communication skills : ability to summarize and communicate issues and suggest improvement;
Assertiveness and proactivity : ability to anticipate issues and make things change;
Ability to evolve in a “just-in-time” and fast-moving environment and to deal with changing processes and cope with tight deadlines.
