We are currently seeking an experienced Industrial IT Automation Engineer to join our team and work on-site at one of our prestigious clients in the pharmaceutical sector in Gent.
Role Overview :
As an Industrial IT Automation Engineer, you will be embedded within our client’s CAR T organization, supporting their Make Asset Management (MAM) team. You will play a key role in managing and executing industrial IT and automation projects, ensuring operational excellence and compliance in a highly regulated environment.
Main Responsibilities :
- Define, prioritize, and execute projects with a focus on project management, planning, and stakeholder management.
- Maintain and develop expertise in industrial IT, automation, networks, systems, and data integrity.
- Provide second-line support for industrial IT issues, apply troubleshooting methodologies, and lead a team of experts to resolve issues efficiently.
- Lead root cause analyses and leverage team expertise.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, internal customers, and stakeholders.
- Create, implement, and manage lifecycle documents.
- Ensure GXP compliance by implementing corrective actions and changes, and thoroughly documenting them.
- Act as a bridge to QA from the department.
- Collaborate with global departments to translate projects and needs into local initiatives.
- Train end users and system administrators.
- Build strong partnerships with suppliers.
- Drive innovation and integrate new technologies.
Profile Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in industrial automation or a related engineering field.Minimum of two years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry.Proven experience in a GxP-regulated environment.Deep understanding of Good Automated Manufacturing Practices (GAMP).Familiarity with industrial automation in the pharma sector is a plus.Knowledge of PLC Siemens S7 is required.Strong organizational skills and a proactive, solution-oriented mentality.Ability to work independently and prioritize under pressure.Previous experience in a large matrix organization is beneficial.Fluency in English is required; Dutch at C1 level is preferred.Collaborative spirit and service-oriented attitude.What We Offer :
