Job Description

We are looking for a Junior Category Specialistwithin the BESIX Procurement Department based in Brussels.

You will report and assist a Global Category manager Steel Structures in driving and implementing strategic planning and category management in your own perimeter. This role secures up-to-date market knowledge and defines category strategies. Together with your manager you will learn and be responsible for sourcing, negotiation and overall supplier management for large volumes and / or complex categories in the construction industry.

Key responsibilities :

• Support development and implementation on Procurement strategy on designated categories and provide input to the Global Category Manager when developing the purchasing plan.
• Be responsible for strategic sourcing (SSM) on designated categories with focus on TCO optimization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams with focus on early involvement of business & functional stakeholders.
• Support competitiveness with Tendering teams.
• Support synergies and cost reduction identification and application within BESIX Group and the procurement network.
• Identify and deliver cost reduction (Tendering & Execution) on designated categories and projects.
• Support innovation capture with vendors and promote inside relevant businesses.
• Define preferred vendors, manage vendor relationship and update preferred vendors - list.
• Initiate, negotiate, manage and promote vendors’ framework agreements at BESIX Group level.
• Support project execution for BESIX Construction and Regionals with adapted strategic inputs.
• Develop supplier relationship with global / regional key suppliers in order to realize TCO optimization.
• Define and execute (for global / regional categories).
• Manage vendor performance feedback and adapt BESIX vendor strategy.
• Drive a regular market screening to adjust Vendor panel development.
