Job Title : SAP BI / BW Consultant – Migration Project

Location : Fully Remote

Type : Freelance Contract

Duration : 12 Months

Rate : €950 / Day

Start Date : ASAP or negotiable

Project Overview :

We are seeking an experienced SAP BI / BW Consultant for a major SAP BW migration project with a global client. This 12-month freelance engagement is fully remote and will involve the end-to-end migration of SAP BW systems, including architecture analysis, data modeling, ETL, and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead or support the migration of SAP BW systems (e.g., BW on HANA or BW / 4HANA)
  • Perform system analysis, data modeling , and architecture design
  • Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements
  • Ensure data integrity, quality, and consistency throughout the migration
  • Develop and optimize ETL processes using SAP tools (e.g., BW, BEx, HANA Studio)
  • Conduct performance tuning, troubleshooting, and post-migration testing
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including SAP Basis, HANA DB, and SAP functional consultants
  • Provide technical documentation and knowledge transfer to internal teams

Required Skills & Experience :

  • 8+ years of experience in SAP BI / BW development and architecture
  • Proven experience with SAP BW on HANA or BW / 4HANA migration projects
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling, extraction, transformation, and reporting
  • Proficiency in tools like BEx Query Designer, HANA Studio, SAP BW Modeling Tools
  • Solid understanding of SAP ECC / S4HANA data sources
  • Experience with ABAP (for data source enhancements and transformations)
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); other languages are a plus

    • Nice to Have :

  • Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) or SAP Data Intelligence
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and remote collaboration tools
  • German or French language skills
