Your role

As a (Senior) Mechatronics Engineer, you are the technical expert who makes our machines and systems smarter and better. You design and build advanced equipment that combines mechanics, electronics, and software. You are always looking for new technologies, especially in the field of electronics, to improve our solutions.

• System Conceptualization and Design : Design and develop mechatronic system concepts for various applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements. Create detailed designs that balance mechanical, electronic, and software aspects.
• Project Execution : Work on projects at different stages of the development process. Participate in design, component selection, and integration, build and validate prototypes, ensuring they meet performance criteria.
• System Integration : Integrate mechanical, electrical, and control subsystems seamlessly. Troubleshoot and optimize system performance, considering factors like precision, speed, and safety.
• Validation and Testing : Validate the chosen solutions by conducting rigorous testing and simulation. Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. Iterate on designs based on test results.
• Transfer of solutions to the customers' eco-system : Follow up on released solutions. Provide guidance for maintenance and training.
• Technical Leadership : Provide technical guidance to other team members. Lead discussions on system architecture and design choices. Mentor junior team members.

Your profile

Education and Qualifications : A master’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering or a related field is essential with 5-10 years of experience in a similar role.

Mechatronics Expertise : Passionate about machine and system engineering, especially in precision positioning and measuring, vision and optical measurement systems, and automatic precision processing. Proficient in mechanical engineering principles and component selection and design. Skilled in CAD for design, simulation, and PLM systems for mechatronic systems.

Automation & Control : Proficient in automating machinery for minimal human intervention. Experienced with PLCs for programming and machinery control.

Design & Innovation : Understands design thinking and human-centered design. Creative in solving engineering problems.

Leadership : Organized in managing tasks and projects. Experienced in project management and leadership. Effective communicator with teams, stakeholders, and clients. Collaborative in cross-functional team environments.

You have a professional working proficiency in English and Dutch, both written and oral, and have excellent communication skills.
