We are on the lookout for a talented and experienced Country Tax Manager to become a vital part of our dynamic team. This role is key to ensuring our tax compliance and optimizing our tax strategies within Belgium, all while embracing Danone’s global perspective.

Your Role

As a member of our Corporate Tax Team, which spans Belgium, the Netherlands, and France, you will report to the Head of Tax BeNeLux in Hoofddorp, The Netherlands. Your home base will be our vibrant Gent office in Belgium, where you’ll work alongside the Tax VAT Specialist and the Alpro business teams. Flexibility is essential, as you’ll occasionally work from other Danone Belgium offices and travel to our Paris and Hoofddorp locations.

As our Country Tax Manager, you will be part of an international tax team . Ensuring compliance with local and international tax laws, optimizing tax strategies, and collaborating with a diverse team across borders.

Your expertise will be crucial in navigating the complexities of tax regulations and driving our business forward.

Key Responsibilities :

• Regulatory Monitoring : Stay ahead of the curve with local and international tax laws and regulations, assessing their impact on Danone.
• Tax Compliance : Lead the preparation and timely filing of all Belgian tax returns (corporate income tax, withholding tax, VAT, transfer pricing), ensuring precision and adherence to laws.
• Transfer Pricing : Develop and review local transfer pricing documentation, ensuring all Belgian transactions are at arm’s length and compliant.
• Tax Reporting : Oversee the effective tax rate, participate in tax forecasting cycles, and ensure compliance with Pillar II notifications and DAC6.
• Tax Strategy : Provide insights on the tax implications of business operations and restructurings, seeking opportunities for value creation (e.g., tax cash optimization).
• Tax Dispute Management : Manage tax audits and inquiries by Belgian tax authorities, coordinating with external advisors as needed.
• Team Leadership : Be a trusted business partner, offering regular advice and training to teams, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
