At Manuchar, we are transforming towards our state-of-the-art 2.0 platform and data plays a crucial role in this journey! Currently, we have around 40 different ERP-systems, and the goal is to move all affiliates to Microsoft Dynamics 365. This is a long journey that won’t happen overnight. That’s why we are creating a data backbone, as one single “source of truth” across these different ERP-systems. With the data backbone, we can make meaningful business decisions worldwide based on the data we have in these systems.

As a Data Engineer, you have a key role in the extraction of information from the data available within Manuchar. You are responsible for gathering, organizing, and maintaining the data flows for our data platform, according to the set architecture by which the data will be processed and stored. By doing so, you ensure that our data users can access the needed data to extract useful information.

Other responsibilities include :

  • Designing, building, maintaining, and growing our state-of-the-art cloud data platform.
  • Designing the framework according to which the data can be gathered, stored, prepared, and visualized by the data users.
  • Performing the technical analysis & solution design for projects and requests assigned to the BI Team.
  • Locating, managing, and merging multiple data sources to ensure the consistency of the datasets.

What do you need to be successful in your mission?

  • 5 years of relevant experience in (backend) data engineering.
  • Knowledge of :
  • Microsoft Fabric
  • Microsoft Power BI
  • Microsoft SQL server
  • T-SQL
  • GIT Integration
  • Dimensional modelling (according to Kimball)
  • A team player who is independent and feels comfortable working in a cross-functional team.
  • Hands-on with a ‘can do attitude’.
  • Flexible and attentive to detail.
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch / Spanish / Portuguese is a plus.
