Nexeo is currently looking for a Functional Architect (Digital Components) to join a major client in Belgium.

Mission Context :

We are seeking an experienced IT Architect to join the architecture team, consisting of over 70 architects. The focus will be on designing functional, transversal components for customer channels in a secure and resilient way.

Function Description :

As part of the security architects' team, your responsibilities will include :

  • Multichannel Components : Designing customer context management solutions.
  • Flexible Authentication : Ensuring seamless integration between web and mobile channels, integrating with the newly acquired bpost bank, and enabling cardless onboarding for corporate customers via a mobile app.
  • Middleware Simplification : Streamlining middleware processes.
  • Document Management & Archiving : Designing and implementing solutions for document management and functional logging.
  • Employee Portal : Developing employee application portals and integrating with content management systems.
  • Cloud Migration : Overseeing the migration of on-premise applications to a private cloud.

    • Language Requirements :

  • Dutch : Good working level in French or Dutch.
  • French : Good working level in Dutch or French.
  • English : Fluency is essential (both written and spoken).

    • Education :

  • IT background is essential.

    • Travel :

  • None. Full-time role with 50% on-premise and 50% homeworking from Belgium.

    • Required Experience / Knowledge :

  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in IT and security, with at least 5 years as an architect.

    • Technical Experience (Mandatory) :

  • Experience with formal architecture frameworks and tools.

    • Business Experience (Mandatory) :

  • Experience in banking or insurance; otherwise, experience in large / multinational organizations.

    • Soft Skills :

    The ideal candidate will demonstrate :

  • Autonomy : Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Networking Skills : Expertise in stakeholder engagement, gathering requirements, ensuring completeness, and aligning on mitigations while meeting deadlines.
  • Agile Expertise : Ability to work in an agile at-scale organization, agreeing on delivery plans and committing to them.
  • Communication : Ability to clearly articulate architecture decisions in English (both written and spoken).
