At our hotel, it’s all about experience. From the smile at the front desk to perfectly working air conditioning – every detail counts. That’s why we’re looking for a handy and solution-oriented Maintenance Assistant who wants to help us build a warm and safe environment for guests and colleagues.

A behind-the-scenes look at your role

No two days are the same. One morning you may be helping a guest with a broken heel; the next, you’re diving into an HVAC system that needs a little extra care. Your creativity and technical knowledge make the difference – discreet in the background, but always with visible impact.

You ensure everything runs smoothly : from lighting to elevators, meeting rooms to AV installations. Thanks to you, the hotel feels like a perfectly running machine. All in a place where hospitality and teamwork take center stage.

Your responsibilities :

• Technical support during meetings and events (, microphones, projectors, screens).
• Daily technical inspections of public areas and meeting rooms.
• Small repairs to furniture, walls, or other building elements.
• Quickly and effectively resolving malfunctions and defects.
• Collaborating with external partners when needed.
• Contributing to energy management and proposing sustainable solutions.
• Following safety regulations and actively contributing to a safe workplace.
• Maintaining technical administration and maintenance records.

Who are we looking for?

You are someone who :

Experience in the hotel sector or with conference facilities? That’s a plus, but definitely not a must. We also welcome technical talents from other sectors looking to transition into hospitality.

Our location is easily accessible no matter where you’re coming from. The hotel is located at Akkerhage 2B, 9000 Ghent, near exit 9 ( Gent) on the E17. Coming by car? You’ll find peace of mind with ample free parking. Cyclists, e-scooter users, or speed pedelec riders can reach us safely via well-developed bike paths with on-site bicycle parking. Public transport is also a breeze – tram and bus stops are within walking distance with easy connections via De Lijn.
