The International Potato Center (CIP) is looking for a dynamic Accounting Assistant with excellent organizational skills to provide support to the Finance department. This position will be based in Lima, Peru.

About the role : The Accounting Assistant is responsible for providing financial support in order to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial operations. The person selected will be based in HQ-Lima, Peru and will report directly to the Senior Corporate Controller.
Key responsibilities :
- Analyze and prepare reports of balance sheet accounts (accounts payable, employee travel advances, supplier advances, partner advances, accruals, etc.)
- Support in the VAT refund process (MMRR, SUNAT, Legal, others)
- Focal point between the CIP accounting department and the accounting outsourcing company
- Support the administration of the process accounts payable to ensure correct accounting.
- Records of Fixed Asset acquisitions, dispositions, and depreciation.
- Preparation and registration of receivable invoices.
- Maintenance of master file of Supplier and Customer.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
What are we looking for?
Bachelor’s degree in accounting.At least 2 years of professional experience in accounting, preferably in a non-profit environment.Knowledge and experience using accounting software packages (ERP preferable).Updated tax knowledge.Knowledge of IGV reimbursement procedures - Ministry of foreign affairs is a plus.Experience and knowledge of Not-for-profit accounting, as well as being up to date with accounting techniques and trends.Proficiency in MS Office, especially in Excel.Intermediate English level, written and oral.What are we offering?
