Job objective :
Support the advocacy team in the implementation of specific advocacy projects and the running of the World Kidney Day campaign in coordination with the WKD Manager and ISN Advocacy Director.
1. World Kidney Day
- Contribute to the development of the communication strategy and website by leading the WKD social media and online presence in coordination with WKD manager
- Draft WKD reports and other relevant publications
- Support the coordination and management of the WKD stakeholders’ network (e.g., organize calls, take minutes, answer public inquiries)
2. Advocacy
Coordinate seminars, workshops, roundtable discussions and other external eventsDraft presentations, speeches, press releases and social media updates for both internal and external audiencesRecording minutes of the meetings and prepare leadership reports for various internal audiencesSupport the ISN Advocacy team in various administrative and governance tasks – e.g. liaising with members, supporting Working Groups and Regional BoardsRequired / desired Skills
University Degree in Politics, International Relations or Communications is desirable1 year’ experience in the health policy sector; ideally within a membership bodyKnowledge of international health issues; ideally in the area of non- communicable diseasesC2 level written and spoken EnglishDemonstrable advocacy skills and good understanding of the health policy discourseProven ability to produce results within tight deadlines and under pressureMulti‐cultural mindset and awarenessStrong digital skills - excellent with power point, excel and social media)Previous experience with CRM (customer relationship management) software -e.g. Salesforce and Member Suite – is desirableExperienced team player whilst also able to work independently and under own initiativeWillingness to work flexibly – both time and locationDemonstrable experience in curating social media presence (use of scheduling tools, graphic-design tool, analytics tools)Ability to write clear and concise reportAbout the ISN
Since its foundation in 1960, the International Society of Nephrology (ISN) has pursued the worldwide advancement of education, science and patient care in nephrology.
