    Job Description

    The Group's European strategy is a multi-year initiative driving innovation and sustainability in the European insurance market. The program seeks to secure stability, enhance market growth, and address critical protection gaps, such as those in cyber risks and climate resilience.

    As Public Relations Director, you will play a pivotal role in the success of the plan. Leading stakeholder engagement efforts, you will work closely with internal and external partners across London and Europe to deliver on the program's strategic objectives.

    • Strategic Stakeholder Engagement : Develop, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive stakeholder engagement plan aligned with the group objectives.
    • Relationship Management : Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
    • Advocacy Leadership : Collaborate with external advisors, such as consulting agencies, to engage EU policymakers effectively.
    • Project Coordination : Support leadership in achieving program milestones through expert guidance and proactive involvement in steering groups and committees.
    • Communication Excellence : Deliver compelling messaging and communication strategies to enhance stakeholder collaboration and awareness.
    • Performance Monitoring : Maintain a stakeholder register, evaluate engagement effectiveness, and recommend adjustments as needed.
    • The Successful Applicant

    • Proven expertise in (Senior or C-Level) stakeholder management, project leadership, and corporate communications within the insurance industry.
    • Background in government affairs, policymaking, or regulatory advocacy.
    • Knowledge of the European Union's regulatory landscape and the group's insurance operating model.
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on building strategic relationships.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage conflict and show strong leadership, influence senior stakeholders, and deliver results under complex circumstances.
    • Ideally, someone with knowledge of the UK market & Council.
