Director Safety, Health & Compliance
This role reports directly to the Chief Operations Officer and works closely with operational management teams across the different countries and departments. The Director Safety, Health & Compliance is responsible for aligning quality, safety, compliance and process improvement strategies with a) the organization's overarching goals, set by the ELT and b) the directives from all relevant safety instances and to ensure these are implemented effectively across the organization ensuring the strategic objectives are realized.
Responsibilities :
- Translate strategic goals related to quality, safety and compliance into actionable policies and oversee their implementation in Lineas’ (operational) processes.
- Drive the standardization, centralization, and documentation of operational knowledge, processes, and data.
- Ensure the establishment and monitoring of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for quality, safety, and operational efficiency.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives across processes and systems to achieve operational excellence.
- Lead risk assessments and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, laws, and regulations.
Quality and Safety Management :
Develop and implement quality and safety objectives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with relevant standards & regulations.Translate objectives, in consultation with the management, into related action plans, ensure implementation in the different countries through allocation of necessary resources (budget & manpower), timings of implementation & indicators and close follow-up of achievement.Develop and maintain a system to monitor and report on the KPIs regarding quality and safety.Prepare and lead accreditation and (pre-) audit processes (internal and external) for both quality & safety.Cultivate a culture of safety and quality awareness through training and effective communication.Conduct timely risk analyses, report on them, and propose improvements to mitigate identified risks.Process and Continuous Improvement :
Define and provide a standardized methodology and structure to document (operational) processes and technical expertise.Ensure that updated procedures are well-documented and accessible.Supervise the translation of corporate processes into standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and oversee the validation and deployment process.Drive data-driven decision-making by creating and analyzing operational performance metrics.Conduct root cause analyses and statistical evaluations to address process inefficiencies.Work closely with stakeholders to prioritize and implement process changes.Collaborate with IT and other business units to automate and improve processes using advanced tools.Leadership :
Organize the SHC department, in consultation with the hierarchical manager.Recruit, lead, inspire, and develop a team of experts.Manage budgets, resources, and timelines for safety, process and quality improvement initiatives.Profile :
Strong operational background with expertise in safety & quality systems.Prevention advisor level 1. Applications without this certification will not be considered.MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Master degree, preference in Supply Chain, (Business) Engineering, Applied Economics, or related fields.Minimum of 15 years in asset maintenance and / or supply chain management roles, preferably within an international context.Proven leadership experience in quality & safety projects.Fluent in English, Dutch and French.Information :
