The Fixed Access Reliability team operates within the Network Service Operations cluster, part of the Infrastructure & Operations tribe. This tribe is the backbone of our Product & Technology circle, dedicated to delivering robust, future-proof services and infrastructure while empowering teams to autonomously deploy applications and network capabilities. We embrace agile methodologies and the principles of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) from Google to cultivate a positive work environment in Operations, where individuals are encouraged to realize their full potential.
We manage, operate, and support Telenet Fixed Access and Application Networks. We are the hands-on specialist for the Fixed Access and Core Network Services in the organization. We ensure reliability, quality and maintainability of platforms and services. We are proactive reliable partners for our stakeholders. We participate in projects to introduce new technologies, features, and processes with focus on operational validation and acceptance.
Your tasks as our Fixed Access Engineer
Do you want to support systems and services in a professional way? Do you love the combination of operational day-to-day work with a continuous improvement challenge? Then you might be the colleague we are looking for.
- You will be part of a 2nd line Fixed Access Reliability team, working together with your colleagues, but also with the Engineering colleagues, your stakeholders, as well as with the suppliers you will manage.
- While building the experience, you will also handle the day-to-day business : manage, operate, and support the Telenet Access and Application platforms. Deploy and verify releases on the production environment, set up the necessary monitoring, be on-call outside office hours.
- You will continuously look for improvements in the systems under your control, how to automate and make systems self-healing. Advise and support Engineering on the possible improvements and automation. You are also the contact person for the vendors that deliver 3rd line support for the systems under your control.
- Home working is possible as defined by the Telenet rules. You will need to be “on-line” available as Fixed Access Reliability engineer is a supporting department, and you will be the first line for your stakeholders. There will be daily interactions with the rest of the team and good team spirit is key.
