Our client is a fast-growing company based in Ghent, Belgium, currently utilising metal additive manufacturing techniques in part production for sectors such as oil & gas, maritime, transport, and aerospace. They are currently seeking a passionate Project / Operations Manager to oversee production processes and guide further business expansion.

What You'll Do :

This role offers a unique blend of project management and technical expertise. You'll be responsible for overseeing the entire WAAM metal parts production lifecycle, from initial planning to final delivery.

Your key responsibilities include :

  • Scheduling and controlling production times for each project phase (pre- and post-machining, printing, heat treatment, testing).
  • Managing equipment maintenance and recommending technological improvements.
  • Monitoring and analysing key performance indicators (KPIs) for operational efficiency.
  • Developing risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Implementing and upholding safe working practices for operators and equipment.
  • Evaluating and integrating innovative WAAM technologies to optimise efficiency and quality.

Who You Are :

  • Hold a degree in an aligned discipline or be a certified International Welding Engineer (IWE).
  • Possess 3+ years of project management experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
  • Be passionate about problem-solving and possess strong critical thinking skills.
  • Have a solid understanding of additive manufacturing (ideally WAAM technique) and conventional production processes (milling, turning, etc.).
  • Demonstrate a hands-on mentality with strong practical judgment.
