For our Business Unit Belgium / Luxemburg, we are currently looking for a Finance and Controlling expert. The finance department of BU Belgium / Luxemburg is responsible for managing and following up the financial results of approximately 100 construction projects with a total revenue of 300€Mio.
- As a Finance and Controlling expert, you are responsible for the consolidation of the financial results of all the construction projects for the BU Belgium / Luxemburg. You will manage and complete our main consolidation file and ensure that all details are correct;
- Every construction project has a dedicated Cost Controller. Your job as a Finance and Controlling expert will be to assist our Cost Controllers to ensure that the results you receive align with the bookkeeping to assure a qualitative consolidation;
- To understand our processes and business, you will also be responsible for the Cost Control of some of our projects, which includes monthly cost control reporting, analyses, and administrative process simplification;
- You will review, under the responsibility of project managers, projects’ cost control (forecasting, actual cost follow-up, cash flow planning, ageing report,…);
- You will be responsible for reporting checked and coherent figures, keeping the economic result aligned with the bookkeeping following IFRS standards;
- You will liaise with projects’ “technical responsible” to obtain all needed input for projects cost control and forecasting;
- You will cooperate pro-actively with the accountants, especially during the monthly closing processes;
- You will ensure that all needed accounting data are transferred to the Project Managers;
- You will report results and analyses to the Finance Director on due time;
- You will prepare studies across the projects for the business unit and communicate structured conclusions with possible action points;
- You will pro-actively build up the monthly reports and start collecting information from several stakeholders.
Next to the continuing financial controlling, cash flow forecasting,… of our construction sites with our existing, extensive Excel templates and ERP system, we’re looking for a Finance and Control expert , who is ready to help us digitalize our processes.
So, we need a Financial Expert who :
Is willing to deep dive into our existing processes;Will analyze them using the existing systems for our monthly reporting;Will collaborate to digitize and automate these processes further;Will help us build and strengthen our data awareness and prepare for better insights, manageability, and predictability in our financial data;Has to fully understand and manage the details while keeping the bigger picture in mind and setting out the digital roadmap;Has a Master degree in an economical or financial field;Has at least 7 years of work experience in the field of cost control;Demonstrates willingness and ability to learn quickly and to work independently;Is interested in the construction industry and how these projects are managed;Is fluent in Dutch, French, and English;Has clear skills for analyses and reporting;Is a team player with good communication skills;Has good knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel);Is flexible and mobile to visit our construction sites in Belgium from time to time.Other appreciated qualities :
