As a Global Sourcing Lead, you will lead and coordinate all Procurement activities in key sourcing projects running in different entities of Cerba Research across the globe. You will represent Procurement and lead the Procurement process in the most important sourcing projects for the allocated commodities.

You will work closely with the Procurement Network, manage stakeholders, and lead negotiations that impact the total cost of goods and / or services with senior representatives of suppliers.

Your responsibilities include :

Procurement :

  • Establish professional relationships with internal customers. Work closely with the Exec-board, product, legal, finance organizations, as well as Order Management, Contracts & Proposals, Project Management, Supply Planning, Quality, Logistics, and any other department relevant to your commodity.
  • Support improving acquisition processes, focusing on Non-Production Related commodities. Establish strategic sourcing relationships and develop strong partnerships with suppliers.
  • Negotiate contracts with key suppliers to secure cost, time, quality, and service.
  • Act as supplier account manager for suppliers, managing the relationship, negotiations, risk, disputes, and evaluation.
  • Steer the supplier selection process and influence business allocation to the most effective suppliers in terms of TCO (total cost of ownership).
  • Identify and act upon opportunities to reduce the cost of acquisition and / or avoid unnecessary costs. Timely report those achievements.
  • Be the Procurement point of contact for the selected commodities. Coordinate Procurement function deliverables to ensure team actions remain in synergy.
  • Act as a Procurement and Cost Efficiency advocate within the organization and educate internal customers on good practices of procurement, purchasing, and supply.

Procurement Project Manager :

  • Lead RFI / RFQ for Cerba Research Digitalization Initiatives and others within the scope of allocated commodities.
  • Create acquisition plans for complex goods / services, including targets for milestones, adhering to deadlines, and adjusting schedules and targets as the plan is executed.
  • Identify and connect with relevant stakeholders for complex goods / services acquisitions. Identify and connect to employees best positioned to complete tasks on the project.
  • Complete the process of good transfer of complex goods / services acquired to the goods / services owner and manager, transitioning from project phase to production.

    • Overall :

  • Provide recommendations for continuous process improvements, including toolkit, SOP improvements and deployments, goods / services catalogues, etc.
  • Drive environmental sourcing and sustainability activities according to Group directives.
  • Within Procurement, Purchasing, and Supply scope, perform other activities needed to secure activities and business continuity.

    • About you, you have :

  • Bachelor’s degree or 3 to 5 years of related experience in international Purchasing and / or Project Management.
  • Commodity Management experience. Experience in selected commodities is a plus but not required.
  • Supplier Relationship Management experience.
  • Stakeholder Management experience and Business acumen.
  • Result-oriented with a structured way of working.
  • Strategic and analytical thinking.
  • Ability to make decisions in a high-demanding environment.
  • Autonomy.
  • Willingness to take up new challenges.
  • Willingness to act with an international mindset.
  • Good oral and written communication skills (proficient English mandatory).
