Today, we are looking for a full-time Research Engineer - High-speed propulsion.
The Research Engineer will be knowledgeable in high-speed propulsion, thermodynamics, compressible fluid dynamics and / or reacting flows with relevant experience in numerical research. You will lead the development efforts on high-fidelity reactive CFD solvers and reduced order modelling tools that are specialized to simulate hypersonic and supersonic propulsion systems and their critical components. Being knowledgeable in turbomachinery flows and experimental rig design is an asset.
While leading and supporting the research team, you will be responsible for project management tasks, technical reporting and communication with international industrial sponsors and / or research partners. Additionally, you will work closely with the Head of the Propulsion Research Group in the supervision of postgraduate students, in identifying and pursuing opportunities for future research projects, and in advancing the research capabilities of the group.
