We are looking for an  Artwork & Packaging Program Lead  to join our  Devices, Artwork and Packaging  Department, based in our UCB campus located in  Braine-l'Alleud.

About the role

You will be responsible for coordinating and ensuring timely delivery of secondary packaging and artwork programs, with a focus on  artwork and packaging programs of a more technical nature  (e.g. managing packaging and artwork readiness for packaging line transfers or optimizations), serving all UCB assets and brands. This covers the value chain of design, development, and industrialization of artwork and packaging from the first new product introduction (NPI) to lifecycle management (LCM) and continuous maintenance.

The role assures the link between customer demand and the finished product, maintaining quality standards while managing the performance of the end-to-end secondary packaging and artwork (launch) process.

Who you’ll work with

You will report to the Head of Artwork & Packaging Program Leadership and you will work closely with Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, Quality Assurance and Contract Manufacturing Organisations (CMO’s).

What you’ll do

  • Own the secondary packaging program(s), ensuring the implementation of the program structure and strategy, achieving program objectives, and ensuring delivery of key milestones by experts.
  • Establish governance structures to ensure cross-functional collaboration, ensure adherence to organizational way of working and frameworks for the teams to operate in.
  • Acts as the main point of contact for internal & external program stakeholders and reports to senior management and stakeholders on program progress, challenges, risks, opportunities and program performance.
  • Puts in place a structured and efficient system for communication key updates, by means of a reporting mechanism and information channels.
  • Participate in stakeholder reviews and serve as a representative or informed party in packaging technical program meetings.
  • Develop and coordinate packaging (launch) plans, including capacity planning and resource evaluation.
  • Ensure timely, high-quality secondary packaging development to support smooth market launches and / or secure supply.
  • Lead communication and knowledge sharing with key stakeholders across regulatory, supply, quality, and manufacturing functions.
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for strategic alliances, managing implementation of secondary packaging components.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Strategic project management experience.
  • Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams, influencing stakeholders, and launching complex projects.
