Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive member journeys based on analysis and understanding of their needs and adjust the marketing strategy and action plan accordingly to best engage with them;
- Conduct in-depth research to identify new market opportunities and customer preferences to increase revenues and ensure growth both through UITP’s established membership base and by securing new accounts;
- Collaborate with the business development team to uncover insights and strategies to develop and implement marketing and branding strategies for new and existing products, internally and externally
- Develop a membership and product pricing strategy that reflects the value of UITP’s offer;
- Based on customer-centric (or stakeholder-centric) and data-driven analysis, be responsible for the development and implementation of an overall product brand strategy and action plan, including a clear definition of main stakeholders’ profiles, competitor analysis, markets trends and innovations;
- Ensure growing participation in, broad awareness of and far reaching coverage of the UITP Annual Summit and other key and regional events through compelling targeted Marcom campaigns (including events’ websites and social media accounts), appropriate pricing, and a seamless UITP experience;
- Work in close cooperation with other units and departments (Communications, Knowledge & Innovation, Events & Academy, Global Operations & Membership etc …) to continuously innovate and ensure that the value propositions of UITP anticipates and meets the needs of the members and other stakeholders and differentiates us from competitors to allow us to stay ahead of the game;
- Develop a clear definition of segments based on needs, pain points, gains, socio-demographic elements and individual preferences;
- Set-up a dashboard to evaluate and continuously improve the current strategy based on data and KPI’s;
- Promote a customer-centric and data-driven mindset within the marketing team;
- Understand key marketing performance metrics and tracking tools to provide market research, forecasts, competitive analyses, campaign results, and consumer trends in order to translate results into actionable insights for marketing team;
- Use the latest marketing tactics to continuously adapt and innovate to stay ahead of the curve (eg growth marketing);
- Develop a marketing toolbox to support the regional teams around the world;
- Manage and evaluate the trends, innovations, customer behaviour and competitor activity to identify opportunities;
- Responsible for managing the marketing budget;
- Manage the marketing team according to UITP’s RISE (Respect, Innovation, Sharing, Expertise) values. This mainly consists of providing the team with guidance, leadership and support, ensuring their development and well-being, while at the same time ensuring that corporate policies and procedures standards are understood and respected;
- Develop and implement clear, efficient and inclusive processes which focus on strengths and potential and which cultivates openness and the acceptance of constructive feedback;
- Create the conditions for fulfilment at work by promoting autonomy, engagement, cooperation, belonging and creativity in a sustainable way;
- Identify and promote professional growth opportunities for staff;
- Set departmental and individual employee goals by recognising talents and ensure they contribute to the department and the organisation and provide regular evaluations of progress toward these goals.
Profile
