As a (Jr) Legal Entity Controller at Envalior, you will independently be responsible for monitoring and reporting in line with the international Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and internal guidelines, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local GAAP and tax regulations on financial performance. In addition, you will be driving improvements in financial processes and systems across the organization including managing day-to-day accounting activities, monthly and quarterly financial closing, audits and other local compliance, budget and forecasting support.

You will actively evaluate business transactions for recognition, valuation and reporting requirements, contributing to the integrity and reliability of our financial statements. Additionally, you’ll embrace a pioneering spirit, exploring new methods to enhance our accounting processes and techniques.

Your key responsibilities will be :

  • Provide inputs for local and group financial statements, in order to enable preparation in line with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and existing local and fiscal law to obtain clean audit opinions.
  • Implement processes and policies to improve the performance of current month-end and year-end closing.
  • Assist management with financial planning including presentations and other ad hoc analysis.
  • Ensures delivery and execution of the finance actuals, closing and reporting activities for assigned reporting unit(s) - Performs a sanity check of the P&L and coordinates variances analysis actuals compared to reference period (e.g., prior month, quarter, or run-rate and / or forecast) on consolidated level
  • Independently prepare the annual accounts according to BE GAAP.
  • Prepare all accounting related statutory and legal reports (BE).
  • Ensuring compliance with IFRS, internal guidelines and local GAAP. This includes the preparation and reconciliation of balance sheets, profit & loss statements, explanatory notes, and technical delivery of datasets on a monthly, quarterly, yearly or project base for both IFRS and local GAAP.
  • Exercise independent judgement and decision -making within the scope of the role, which offers a degree of autonomy.
  • Assist in the preparation of tax accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Act as a primary contact for group functions, business units, external auditors and other stakeholders.
  • Analyse financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements and explanatory notes.

Requirements

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Bachelor degree in Finance, Financial Management or Accounting
  • Min. 3-5 years of experience in corporate accounting, financial management or within an audit firm
  • Good knowledge of IFRS & BE GAAP, knowledge of SAP & other reporting tools
  • Demonstrated hands-on approach with strong ownership of a wide range of financial management topics
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong business partner mindset
  • Possess a solid understanding of General Ledger and a strong motivation to continuously learn and improve
  • Experience in managing internal and external service providers
  • You can work independently within strict deadlines and are comfortable managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
