To strengthen our innovative team, we are currently looking for a Process Engineer .

CMB.TECH is developing several green hydrogen and ammonia projects in Namibia to support the decarbonisation of our fleet. CMB.TECH believes that green ammonia will become a leading sustainable bunker fuel for deep sea shipping.

To meet decarbonisation targets by 2030, huge amounts of green fuels will be required. To secure that these fuels are affordable, sustainable and available at any moment in time, CMB.TECH is developing several green hydrogen and ammonia projects in Namibia.

We are currently looking for someone with technical passion who will fully dive into our projects.

What are we looking for?

You will work in a multidisciplinary project team (Process, Mechanical, Civil and Electrical) where you will contribute to engineering activities related to green ammonia and hydrogen production (FEED, EPC).

You will be in close contact with various suppliers to work out the most suitable and economical solution.

You will support contract negotiations in close collaboration with the legal and procurement departments.

You will develop, document, and execute plans and procedures for conducting activities and tasks of the Operations and Maintenance Phase.

You will continuously improve existing installations by targeting reliable, cost-efficient, and safe operations.

Job requirements

What do you bring?

Formal education : You hold a master’s degree in engineering or equivalent through experience.

You have at least 4 years of experience as a process / project engineer within the chemical process industry and were involved in green or brown field projects.

Languages : Proficient in English and Dutch (both spoken and written).

You have experience with basic or detailed engineering and have a good knowledge of hydrogen and ammonia.

Experience in process safety / HAZOP or process design is considered a plus.

You are ambitious and passionate with a strong drive.

You have a flexible mindset and are people-oriented.

Team spirit, coordination, and good communication are required skills to make this project a success.

For this job, you will have to travel occasionally, so flexibility in this respect is needed.
