Project Manager - ESG - Agro Industry

Our client is a global leader in the field of Agribusiness industry.

Their commitment toward sustainability and corporate responsibilities is at the heart of their operation.

In order to sustain their ambitions in the field of ESG, they are currently looking to extend their team based in Brussels with a new Project Manager ESG who will take the full ownership of these key projects.

Description

As the successful ESG Project Manager, you will have the following responsibilities :

• ESG Strategy Development and Implementation :
• Develop and execute ESG strategies, policies and initiatives that align with the company's overall mission and goals.
• Monitor and report on ESG performance, including environmental impact, social responsibility, and governance practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ESG considerations into business operations and decision-making processes.
• Project Management :
• Lead and manage multiple projects from conception through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Develop project plans, define project scope and objectives, and coordinate resources and stakeholders.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Play a strong role in creating a strategic roadmap, implementing the requirements, and setting up necessary internal structures and processes for various projects, especially related to EU requirements on sustainability reporting (CSRD, Taxonomy).
• Manage CO2 emissions and related certifications, ensuring accurate tracking, reporting, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Stakeholder Engagement :
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including employees, investors, customers, and regulatory bodies.
• Communicate ESG initiatives and progress to stakeholders through reports, presentations, and meetings.
• Represent the company in industry forums, conferences, and other relevant events.
• Compliance and Reporting :
• Ensure compliance with relevant ESG regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Prepare and submit regular ESG reports to senior management and external stakeholders.
• Conduct ESG audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous improvement.
• Training and Awareness :
• Develop and deliver ESG training programs for employees to raise awareness and promote a culture of sustainability.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to ESG.

Profile

As the successful ESG Project Manager, you will have the following requirements :

• At least a University degree (Master or diploma) in the area of sustainability, business administration, law, social sciences or equivalent by experience
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in ESG management, sustainability, or related fields.
• Fluent in English & French - Any other EU language will be consider as an asset
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects and driving ESG initiatives.
• Strong understanding of ESG frameworks, standards, and reporting practices (. CSRD and EU Taxonomy)
• Excellent project management skills with proficiency in project management software.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Willingness to travel frequently to collaborate with global teams and stakeholders.
