Joining an ambitious and dynamic project,you will be part of the project team in Ghent as a Project managerfor some of the Utility projects. Your experience will be key insupporting the team in handling the delivery on

time and within budget of this majorproject.

Besidesthe main process vessel, there are also a lot of other criticalsteelmaking equipment’s / assets necessary to produce excellent steelqualities, e.g. hot metal ladle burners, steel ladle burners, steelladle transfer cars, off-gas treatment, hydraulic systems,etc.

Keytasks :

responsible for the projectmanagement of parts of the Utilities infrastructure (>

30MEUR)   you collaborate closely withEPCM and permitting partners (reviewing schedules for deliverables,formulating civil scopes, enforcing D&E standardization).   you ensure integration and validatebrownfield adaptations as applicable.   you conduct reviews and approvalsfor documents, drawings and request for change.   you enable periodic internal reviewsand coordination with stakeholders to address gaps andfollow-through resolution.   proactively escalate any projectgovernance issues that are creating a barrier to project deliveryin a timely manner and make suggestions for how they might bebrought back to plan.   drivecontinuous process improvements through the project lifecycle, byusing lessons learnt and identifying opportunities.   analyse improvement areas identifiedvia maturity assessment, evaluate use cases & prioritize andpropose actions.   you will supportand report to the Steelmaking plant project delivery lead of theproject

Technical skills

Experience in working with EPCM orEPC companies   Expertise in ProjectManagement   Goal oriented, resultsdriven, takes initiative, leadership and attention to detail   Effective communicator, with abilityto deal ability to proactively deal with senior executives andstakeholders, persuading them to meet deadlines   Proven people management skills

Job experience / otherskills

• 5 or+15 years’ experience as a Project Manager in a similar role (weare looking for medior / senior profiles)   Relevant experience in any of thesedomains is required : process systems (mainly water & pipingsystems) and Electro mechanical installations   It’s a plus if you have professionalcertification in PMI or Prince2

Courses

Master / Bachelor degree inengineering or equivalent professional technical education

Languageskills

Project language is English   Knowledge of the Dutch language is aprerequisite

Others

Regular travels to Spain or otherEuropean countries (Madrid, Bilbao)
