We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced structural biologist to join our Discovery group. The successful candidate will support different projects, providing structure-function related insights, and collaborate in a cross-functional setting to drive the discovery of new therapeutic agents. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in protein structure determination, molecular protein modelling and drug design, with experience working with membrane proteins being a plus.
The job is based in our facility in Zwijnaarde, Belgium.

Key Responsibilities :
- Support structure determination of antibodies and complexes thereof using X-ray crystallography and cryo-electron microscopy.
- Collaborate with research teams to analyze structural data and interpret results in the context of molecular function and disease pathways.
- Contribute to the design and optimization of protein expression and purification strategies to facilitate elucidation of structure-function mechanisms.
- Contribute to the identification and leveraging of computational tools and algorithms to address recurring scientific challenges.
- Identify and proactively address suboptimal aspects of the role, working with the team to implement improvements.
Desired skills, experience and challenges :
