Job Content

MIND is looking for a Senior Connectivity Firmware / BLE Engineer to join one of our major customers in Leuven, Belgium. Duration : 1.5 years with further extension.

The assignment includes :

  • Developing the upper level (application level) of the BLE communication protocol stack, which is not yet existing. Knowledge / understanding / experience of Bluetooth low level (Link Layer and Host stack) is absolutely necessary.
  • The testing part of the job will be relatively limited at the beginning of the assignment.
  • Leading the team in the “go to market strategy” by identifying what may be missing in the product to reach a broader audience, requiring interaction with the R&D team.

Knowledge and Experience

Below is a summary of the different requirements for this freelance project :

  • 3-5 years of embedded software / firmware development experience, in either the mobile industry or in semiconductors.
  • Solid BLE 5.X experience, preferably in both Link Layer and Host stack.
  • Knowledge of design methods and software engineering processes.
  • Microcontroller architectures and peripherals.
  • Building real-time systems on bare metal or using an RTOS.
  • Structured debugging.
  • Interpretation of PCB schematics.

  • Experience in technical coaching of junior team members.
