Business Development & Portfolio Manager Consumer Healthcare
Job Summary :
We are seeking a strategic & hands-on business development manager CHC who can contribute to the company’s growth by driving portfolio management with a focus on development & launch excellence as well as form and manage strategic partnerships for in-licensing, out-licensing and commercial collaborations across existing and new areas within the OTC and Consumer Healthcare space.
Key Responsibilities :
Strategy & Stakeholder management
- Drive the development strategy for OTC and Consumer Healthcare portfolio in Belgium.
- Lead the selection process, ensuring strategic alignment with EG’s commercial objectives.
- Build robust business cases including financial models, forecasts, investment plans and risk assessments.
- Provide Belgian market input to the CHC marketing & sales team in order to support decision-making for the CHC marketing & sales plans
- Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders (Marketing, Regulatory, Medical, Finance, Supply Chain, Market Access) to ensure alignment and readiness for pipeline execution.
- Generate and present and new opportunities to local and global management teams
Business Development
Support product evaluations (including dossiers, registration feasibility, commercial attractiveness).Identify and evaluate external growth opportunities (in-licensing, partnerships, co-marketing, out-licensing).Support the short-, mid- and long-term BD strategy for Consumer Healthcare in Belgium.Lead due diligence, negotiations, and contract development for new deals.Collaborate with global and regional BD teams to align local initiatives with group strategy.Ensure compliance with corporate BD policies and governance standards.Maintain and leverage current supplier network to identify new opportunitiesDevelop new supplement formulations in cooperation with external partners. Perform scientific evaluations, propose innovative and medically supported formulations with clear market USP for medical and pharmaceutical sales channels.Define consumer demand with marketing and sales and via market research. Provide a first line evaluation of technical documentation during development phase. Provide scientific and technical feedback in co-development with external partnersSupport the medical and marketing teams with scientific, technical and regulatory competitive intelligence.Organise post launch reviewsCreate and maintain projects in the global business development portalLaunch Excellence
Lead and coordinate end-to-end launch processes for new OTC products : from regulatory readiness to go-to-market.Ensure strong back-end planning, demand forecasting, positioning and market differentiation.Collaborate closely with commercial, regulatory, medical, and supply teams to ensure timely and impactful product launches.Track progress on key launch KPIs and ensure escalation and resolution of any barriers to success.Qualifications :
Master’s degree in Pharmacy, Engineering, Business Administration or similar; MBA is a plus.Appr. 5 years’ experience in business development, portfolio management or commercial / marketing roles in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.Proven understanding of OTC (CHC) markets and consumer healthcare dynamics.Solid grasp of the full product lifecycle from opportunity identification to launch and lifecycle management.Experience in contract negotiation, licensing deals and cross-functional project coordination.Strong analytical skills, financial acumen and strategic mindset.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Fluent in English and Dutch and / or French.Proactive, results-oriented, collaborative and entrepreneurial mindset.Willingness to travel domestically and occasionally internationally.Personal Attributes :
