The Job

As a Machine Learning Engineer, you’ll be an integral part of our in-house team of AI specialists, designing and implementing models that deliver robust, data-driven solutions for our clients.

You’re passionate about data, and you enjoy diving deep into it to unlock actionable insights. Your expertise lies in developing and fine-tuning machine learning models that directly improve client operations. You’ll experiment with different approaches to ensure top-tier results, and collaborate closely with Data Engineers and Cloud Architects to deliver tailored solutions, always with a quality-focused, end-to-end perspective.

You’ll also have the opportunity to mentor colleagues, share knowledge, and stay on top of industry developments through a range of initiatives we support internally.

What we’re looking for

• A deep passion for Machine Learning and a Master’s or PhD in a quantitative discipline.
• Strong foundation in software design principles.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a field related to machine learning and big data.
• Expertise in machine learning and deep learning, with both a theoretical and practical grasp.
• Proficiency in Python is a must; experience with SQL is a big plus, and knowledge of R or Scala is an advantage.
• Experience deploying machine learning models and familiarity with MLOps practices.
• Basic understanding of cloud engineering.
• Enthusiasm for working with large datasets and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for clients.
• Fluency in both English and Dutch.

Where you’ll work

Our main offices are in Leuven and Ghent, with co-working spaces in Charleroi and Antwerp. These spaces are perfect for both focusing and unwinding with colleagues, as well as brainstorming sessions and team events. While much of your work can be performed remotely, you will also work on-site with clients.
