Job Description - Network Engineer (CABN Cluster)

Role Overview

As part of the CABN cluster within the Network Services tribe, you will play a key role in delivering critical CABN commitments across strategic projects such as MV-SIPN Evolution, AU-NPP Cloud CR, and SBN Encryptors Technology Upgrade. You will contribute to the design, implementation, testing, and evolution of advanced network solutions in both on-premises and public cloud environments.

This role requires a high level of autonomy, strong technical expertise in routing and switching, and hands-on experience with Juniper technologies and network automation.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver and support network solutions for large-scale, mission-critical projects within the CABN scope

Design, implement, and maintain complex IP network architectures (routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, DNS)

Configure, operate, and troubleshoot Juniper-based network infrastructure

Contribute to network routing and switching activities at an expert level

Design and execute network testing strategies, including automated test frameworks

Use and maintain network testing tools to ensure performance, stability, and security

Support and integrate SD-WAN solutions into existing and evolving network environments

Collaborate in an Agile delivery environment, participating in sprint planning, reviews, and continuous improvement

Support hybrid and cloud-based networking solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP

Work independently while coordinating effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

Required Skills & Experience

Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables

Strong experience working in an Agile methodology environment

Expert-level generic network knowledge, including IP routing tables, VLANs, DNS, VPNs, and related protocols

Senior-level experience with Juniper technologies

Expert-level knowledge of network routing and switching

Senior-level experience in network test automation

Senior-level experience with network testing tools

Professional-level knowledge of public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Professional-level experience with SD-WAN technologies

Nice to Have

Experience working in large enterprise or service-provider environments

Exposure to security-focused networking projects (e.g., encryptors, secure transport networks)

Strong documentation and communication skills
