Position : Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our innovative team in Belgium. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines and architectures to support advanced analytics and data-driven decision-making. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity, scalability, and performance across a variety of projects.
Key Responsibilities :
- Data Architecture & Pipeline Development : Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehousing solutions to meet business needs.
- Data Modeling : Create and manage complex data models to support analytical and operational reporting needs.
- Big Data Solutions : Implement big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka to handle large-scale datasets and enable advanced analytics.
- Cloud Integration : Build and manage data architectures on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), ensuring scalability and security.
- Data Quality & Governance : Establish and enforce data quality standards, governance policies, and best practices across all data platforms.
- Performance Tuning : Continuously monitor and improve the performance of data systems and applications.
- Collaboration : Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Mentorship : Provide guidance and mentorship to junior data engineers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
Qualifications :
Education : Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.Experience :
5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a proven track record of building and managing large-scale data architectures.
Strong expertise in ETL processes, data warehousing, and data pipeline development.Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra).Experience working with big data frameworks (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka).Advanced knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala.Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform) for automating data workflows.Skills :
