About the Role

Our client are seeking a Test Engineer to support the design and validation of advanced defense technologies. The successful candidate will lead the planning, execution, and analysis of experimental tests to verify system performance and ensure compliance with technical specifications. This is a hands-on engineering role requiring cross-functional collaboration and technical autonomy.

Key Responsibilities

Develop detailed test plans and protocols, aligned with relevant technical and regulatory standards

Coordinate test preparations and executions, assign tasks, and manage on-site test operations

Analyze test results, prepare documentation, and distribute reports to key stakeholders

Maintain accurate records and ensure proper data storage and archiving

Organize and lead Test Readiness Reviews (TRR) prior to major test campaigns or demonstrations

Define and select instrumentation appropriate for measuring physical parameters, with a focus on vibration analysis

Oversee the maintenance and calibration of test equipment, including sensors, data acquisition systems, and cameras

Support continuous improvement within the testing department

Participate in design reviews to offer input on system testability and accessibility

Conduct test campaigns on-site and at external locations, including military ranges (3–5 trips per year, 3–15 days each)

Ideal Candidate Profile

Degree in engineering (testing, instrumentation, electromechanical, electronics, or similar)

Proven experience in a similar testing role, ideally in complex system environments

Knowledge of instrumentation, signal processing, and data analysis

Experience with test systems such as vibration platforms, thermal chambers, strain gauges, and pressure sensors

Familiarity with special measurements (vibration, strain); radar and acoustic testing is a plus

Comfortable working in multidisciplinary teams and under strict safety protocols

Willing and available to travel abroad for test campaigns

Familiar with standards such as MIL-STD-810 or similar is an advantage

Professional working proficiency in English and French
