Solution IT Architect

As a Solution IT Architect, you will contribute to the design and integration of IT solutions within the application landscape. You will work on the application architecture in collaboration with a Business Architect at the enterprise and solution level, supported by enterprise architecture and reference architecture guidelines. In your assigned projects, you will define the solution together with the Solution Business Architect, and you will coordinate and guide the software engineers. You will model your solutions in ArchiMate using our model repository (MEGA) and position them within the enterprise architecture landscape inspired by TOGAF.

Main Tasks :

As a Solution IT Architect, you are responsible for :

• Designing IT solutions that meet both functional and non-functional requirements. Experience with performance-related concerns is a plus. You will help shape our application landscape, which consists primarily of on-premise custom Java development, but also includes package solutions and cloud applications.
• Collaborating with the Solution Business Architect to create alignment and buy-in for the IT solution among the stakeholders, project team, and cost estimation experts.
• Aligning the integration of the solution within the application landscape with the team of Business and IT Architects at the enterprise and solution level.
• Identifying IT-related risks and architectural trade-offs to support stakeholders in making informed decisions when evaluating alternative solutions.
• Documenting architectural decisions in designated architectural decision artefacts.
• Participating in relevant governance processes by attending established meetings and boards.
• Coordinating and monitoring implementation by software engineering teams.
• Contributing to the evolution of the reference architecture, aligning with business needs and broader IT trends that can deliver value to the business.
