For a customer in West Flanders, I am searching for a freelance Lead to own and drive the IT roadmap, portfolio management, and delivery execution across the organization. As the central point of contact between business and technology, you will align initiatives with strategic objectives, prioritize projects, manage cross-functional delivery, and ensure measurable outcomes.
The ideal profile should combine a helicopter Program Management view rooted in a broad IT technical background, also able to manage people.
Responsibilities
Define, maintain, and communicate the IT strategic roadmap in alignment with business goals
Work closely with stakeholders across business functions to identify emerging needs and ensure roadmap relevance
Monitor technological trends to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement
Oversee the full IT project portfolio, ensuring the right prioritization and resource allocation
Evaluate and manage project risks, dependencies, and trade-offs to support informed decision-making
Establish governance processes for project intake, selection, and performance monitoring
Manage colleagues executing projects ~10 people
Track and report delivery KPIs, timelines, budgets, and outcomes
Profile
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field
Minimum 5+ years of experience in IT leadership or IT program management roles
Experience in the logistics, supply chain or retail domains (and understanding of these processes) is required
Strong background in IT strategy, project / portfolio management, and delivery
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams
Experience with Agile and traditional project methodologies
