Data Platform Engineer

I am looking for a Dutch speaking Senior Data Platform Engineer to join an exciting client of ours based in Brussels on a long term contract.

The ideal candidate would be a Senior Platform Engineer with excellent programming skills and a proven track record in designing, building, and managing robust data platforms in cloud and on-premise environments. Also has proven technical leadership in aligning client needs with solutions, and driving data maturity initiatives.

The profile requirements :

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or a related role
• Excellent knowledge of AWS and optionally Azure and GCP
• AWS Solution Architect Professional / AWS DevOps Engineer Professional / Azure Solutions Architect Expert / Azure DevOps Engineer Expert is a bonus
• Proven experience with Airflow, Athena, Databricks, dbt, ECS, Glue, IAM, MWAAIceberg
• Proven experience with Terraform and IaC concepts
• Experienced in Docker, Kubernetesor similar containerization frameworks
• Expert programming skills : Python and SQL
• Excellent understanding of CI / CD Pipelines, Gitlab or GitHub, Jenkins, and / or similar frameworks.
• Solid understanding of testing methodologies and debugging techniques
• Front-end development experience a bonus
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Must speak Dutch
