YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Networking, SDN & Automation :
- Architecting of resilient, scalable and secure network solutions for high bandwidth and low latency media applications
- Manage and automate the deployment of network systems
- Promote modern networking practices including SDN solutions, configuration management, version control & IaC tooling
Monitoring & Troubleshooting :
Implement monitoring tools which allow customers to monitor the health of systems, servers, and network connections to ensure the reliable delivery of broadcast signalsTroubleshoot and resolve issues across all infrastructure layers (hardware, network, software)Collaboration :
Professional Services Group support providing technical consulting involving conceptual design and requirements capture, configuration, commissioning and training within project delivery and project support covering system and product issue tracking and resolutionLead technical meetings with relevant stakeholders that include product / system presentations and demonstrationsCollaborate closely with other engineering teams and product management to ensure a smooth integration of system deploymentsPerformance Optimization :
Optimize the performance of COTS-based servers and networks for efficient software-based signal processing and distributionConduct system performance tests and deploy necessary optimizations to meet broadcast environments’ demanding throughput and latency requirementsDocumentation & Best Practices :
Create and maintain system documentation, including procedures for network deployments, updates, and incident managementEnforce and promote best practices in infrastructure management, security, and automation within the organization.Security :
Implement and enforce security measures within the broadcast environments, ensuring signal integrity, data flow, and infrastructure protectionEnsure compliance with industry standards and security protocols for broadcast signal distribution and processingYOUR PROFILE
Proven Experience :
3+ years in a network or systems architecting role focusing on broadcast environments or similar complex systems involving signal distribution over multicastStrong knowledge and hands-on experience with SMPTE ST 2110 standards for professional media over IP networksExperience with software defined networking, including tools and software used in broadcast environmentsTechnical Skills :
Networking Technologies (e.g. Multicast, PTP, SDN, BGP / OSPF, AVD) Vendors (e.g Cisco, Arista, Nvidia)Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform)CI / CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git, Jenkins)Proficient in a scripting language (e.g., Python, Bash).Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)Knowledge of virtualized or cloud-based environments in a media context (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)Operating Systems & Tools :
Experience with Linux-based operating systems (e.g., Ubuntu, Debian, Red Hat)Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios)Experience with bug tracking and project management tools (e.g., JIRA)Soft Skills :
