Medior Process Engineer

Vulcain Engineering Belgium is looking for a Medior Process Engineer to join its consulting team.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

• Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot industrial processes to improve efficiency, safety, and reliability.
• Perform process simulations, mass and energy balances, and technical calculations.
• Prepare and review process documentation, including PFDs, P&IDs, equipment datasheets, and process specifications.
• Support feasibility studies, conceptual design, basic engineering, and detailed engineering phases.
• Collaborate with project engineers, safety teams, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory and environmental requirements.
• Participate in HAZOP, risk assessments, and other process safety reviews.
• Provide technical support during commissioning, start-up, and operational phases.
• Analyze process deviations and proactively propose improvement actions.
• Coordinate with suppliers and contractors for technical clarifications and equipment specifications.

ABOUT YOU:

• You have a Master’s degree in electromechanical, chemical, or bioscience engineering
• You have at least 4 years of experience in the chemicals, food & beverage, or other process industries
• You are fluent in Dutch and English
