W Racing Team , known as Team WRT, is a professional autosport racing team, founded in 2009 and headquartered in Bierset.
Apart from running various international race programs, WRT is also known as manufacturer through its subsidiary, WRT Manufacturing which develops roll cages and chassis reinforcement for several of the world’s largest works motorsport programs, including the complete build of all some race cars

As a Senior Buyer , you are responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies that align with the organization’s goals. You will manage key supplier relationships, negotiate complex contracts, and drive cost-saving initiatives. Your role is both strategic and operational, contributing directly to supply chain resilience, quality improvement, and financial performance.
The duties of the Senior Buyer will include :
- Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and sustainability criteria.
- Lead commercial negotiations and secure optimal terms and conditions.
- Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for cost reduction and value creation.
- Manage high-value contracts and long-term supplier agreements.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (e.g., production, R&D, logistics, finance).
- Develop and lead cross-functional sourcing and improvement projects.
- Mitigate supply risks and establish alternative sourcing strategies.
- Track supplier performance using KPIs and implement corrective actions where needed.
- Supervising a team of Stock & Logistic coordinators (2 people).
The Senior Buyer should have the following desired skillset :
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or a related field.Experience in a similar role for at least 10 years.Strong negotiation skills and commercial awareness.Solid understanding of procurement processes, contract law, and supplier management.Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement tools. MS dynamics is a plus.Analytical mindset with the ability to work independently and proactively.Excellent communication skills in English, Dutch & French is a plus.Hands on approach with a flexible “Can Do” & “Will Do” attitude.Flexible with workload and tight deadline.Pro-active problem solver.Strong communicator, strong organisation and planning capacities.Customer orientated.Promote our values (People, Passion, Performance) and commit to personal investment into the WRT ESG strategy.What do we offer ?
